Constable Chaos

Greetings dear visitor, and welcome to yet another website full of the ramblings and complainings of another over-tired, over-worked and over-stressed yet anonymous member of Her Majesty’s Fine Constabularies.

Mental Health Cop

This blog is one part "professional resource" for police officers, one part "awareness raising" for service users, their families and other professionals about the role of police as 'street corner psychiatrists'; and one part "argument" for any interested parties that we could all contribute to doing this better: by ensuring community for those who live with mental health disorders and, all too often, with stigma.

It is about the venn diagram of policing, mental health and criminal justice.

Real Policing

Police Constable and Blogger.

This is the official blog of SGT Ellie Bloggs, a real live Police Sergeant on the front line of England. It's not the official opinion of my Police Force, but all the facts recount are true, and are not secrets. If they don't want me blogging about it, they shouldn't do it. PS If you don't pay tax, you don't pay my salary.

I am a serving Police Inspector and systems thinker.

I am passionate about policing and doing the right thing. I have a big problem with unnecessary bureaucracy, numerical targets and anything else that stops police officers from providing the best possible service.

Spamford Police

Serving and protecting the communities of Spamford and through it all offering protection, a lot of love and affection, whether we are right or wrong.

British Policing is at crisis point. The people who could tell the truth about this are unable to do so, bound by regulation and law which protects the Government but which leaves officers and the public impotent.

This blog is here to give anonymous voice to those who know what is happening and hopefully to better inform those who are being kept in the dark.

the custody record

Custody Sgt at a busy 30+ cell suite. My ramblings, gripes and observations on life, policing in general and this unique role. All views are of course my own.

I am a serving police officer and wanted to write this blog because I feel that police officers never get to share our thoughts. I hate it when the police are slated in the media, often unnecessarily and no-one ever defends us. I hope that this blog shows that there is another side of the coin that is all too often forgotten about. I’ll be blogging my thoughts about ‘The Job’ and society in general, no offence is intended in any of my blogs (unless specifically stated).

An officer of the law since 1995 – finding the job increasingly more difficult, assault count is now 4, frustration even higher…….. Enjoy my twitter and blogs….
This is my opinion and not that of my employers.

Written in a darkened room, somewhere in the UK, this blog is intended to provide an insight into the world of those that keep your streets (and mine) safe at night; the serving men and women UK policing. We do our best to protect the communities we serve under difficult circumstances, but it’s getting harder every day.

Where do future Police and Crime Commissioners and today’s media go for PCC news and commentary? – Right here to TopOfTheCops.

I know enough to know that at 04.00am it gets dark out on the streets. It has done this for the last twenty odd years, to my knowledge and will probably continue for the forseeable future. At some stage in this ‘future’ I shall retire and probably won’t give a damn if it still gets dark at 04.00am. Until then I shall be out there, somewhere, lurking in the shadows because someone, somewhere will be doing stuff they shouldn’t and then, well then I will introduce myself.

Thin blue line

This site has been created to raise consumer awareness about crime and the tough challenges faced by the rank and file police officers - hence its title "The Thin Blue Line".
