  • A survey published today shows that police officers in West Midlands believe the government cut of 20 percent of the police budget over the next four years and a reduction in police officer numbers will have a detrimental effect on crime levels and result in the public getting a poorer service.

  • According to the UK Police Federations which represent officers in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, the proposed amendments to the Police (Health and Safety) Act, 1997, will prevent members of the public from being able to make claims for injuries or actions taken by the Police.
