Bryn Hughes is the father of PC 14846 Nicola Hughes who lost her life in the line of duty in 2012 in Greater Manchester. Following Nicola's death Bryn set up the PC Nicola Hughes memorial fund in memory of his daughter. The fund provides young people with education, employment opportunities and support following the death of a family member through violent crime.

The next West Midlands Police Federation Roadshow is aimed at officers based at or receiving training at Tally Ho. It is to be held in the Tally Ho Canteen on Tuesday 9 June 2015 between 8am and 2pm. Member services providers will be available to talk to members and discuss the services they can provide.

Police officer stress was discussed by West Midlands Police Federation deputy chairman Tom Cuddeford when he appeared on the Birmingham based television channel Big Centre TV this morning. Tom was interviewed by veteran broadcast journalist Bob Hall on The Midland: Morning News Live.
