    Our Roadshows have come to an end for 2015. We had a fantastic turnout for 2015 at all our roadshows and our return visit to West Bromwich on 24th November was very successful.

  • Steve White, chair, Police Federation of England and Wales, said: “The horrific and unprecedented terrorist attacks that took place in Paris last night has left the world in shock and disbelief. Our hearts go out to all those affected. “This unimaginable terror knows no boundaries and the response by the French emergency services under such difficult circumstances is to be admired. “Police officers throughout the UK stand united with the wider police family in the fight against terrorism in all its forms.”

  • Body Armour Advice

    The new hi-vis body armour has been introduced to our Force since the end of 2013. Since the introduction, a significant number of you have experienced issues with it. In 2014 1000 of you emailed the Federation to highlight your concerns, which have been passed onto the Force. Your Federation is still working hard behind the scenes, to try and find a solution to alleviate your concerns and issues. If you have been issued with your new body armour, but are continuing to wear your old, you may not find yourselves covered by the Force Insurance Policy.

    Each year at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we observe a Two Minute Silence. Armistice Day on 11 November marks the end of the First World War and is a day to remember and honour those who have paid the price for our freedom. We hope you will join with us today to remember.

  • L&D are running a continual professional development day on the 12th November 2015. Take control of your development. Drop into Tally Ho and attend up to 4 bite sized sessions each run consecutively and repeated during the day. You must request your supervisor to authorise attendance on this event and to arrange abstraction via the RMU. If your RMU is unable to abstract you, your registration will be cancelled

    The Merseyside Police Federation have purchased a number of commemorative tie-pins that they have supplied to Merseyside members to commemorate David Phillips life. However, they have received numerous requests from non-Merseyside members and members of the public wishing to purchase a tie pin.
