Bryn Hughes is the father of PC 14846 Nicola Hughes who lost her life in the line of duty in 2012 in Greater Manchester. Following Nicola's death Bryn set up the PC Nicola Hughes memorial fund in memory of his daughter. The fund provides young people with education, employment opportunities and support following the death of a family member through violent crime.
