  • As you may be aware, the Government announced recently that the standard rate of insurance premium tax (IPT) will be increased from 9.5% to 10.0%. Due to this, your monthly premiums to the Federation insurance schemes will increase with effect from 1st October 2016. For details of the changes in premium, please see below:

  • A Leicestershire Police officer is asking colleagues across the country to consider becoming bone marrow donors after his young daughter was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. Like thousands of parents across the country, PC Chris Phipps and his partner Mandy were expecting to spend the summer holidays hunting for school uniform and preparing their daughter for her first day at school. Little Mia, who turns five at the end of September, had enjoyed her induction days at her Leicester primary school and was looking forward to going to ‘big school’. But before that, the young family were planning their first holiday in Tenerife.

  • The next West Midlands Police Federation Roadshow is aimed at officers based at in the Dudley LPU. It is to be held in the LCT Meeting Room at Brierley Hill Police Station on Thursday 3 November 2016 between 1000 and 1500.
